Where, oh where, do I love to pad my wardrobe from the comfort of my home? At Shopbop.com, of course! The online shopping desitnation was one of the first to catch my eye eons (in tech time) ago, and I have been a devotee ever since. But one thing the website never offered was beauty—until now.

Shopbop is teaming with Sephora to debut Sephora Collection Palette Color Play 5 in 1 limited-edition palette inspired by Shopbop’s forthcoming “Faces of Fashion” editorial look book. The 5 in 1 limited fashion edition palette features 5 color palettes that each include 10 eye shadows, 2 lip colors and 1 blush. Select one of the five different looks (palettes) and pop it in the compact. The palettes are inter-changeable; simply choose your outfit-complimenting color palette for the day. The Color Play 5 in 1 is currently available on Sephora.com and will debut in Sephora stores TODAY. Shopbop’s accompanying "Faces of Fashion" look book will launch on www.Shopbop.com on December 29th.

If you haven't had the chance to look at a Shopbop look book, you're missing out. The editors put together an astonishingly well-edited set of looks for an assortment of trends a few times a  season. This particular "Faces of Fashion" look book will cover five fashion archetypes, like "A Nod to Mod" and "Boho Bombshell." Of course, the corresponding beauty is what we'll be looking out for, and each look will have it's companion palette trumpeted.

Shopbop is also running a
Faces of Fashion Sweepstakes
in tandem with the debut of the palette; the lucky winner gets a year's supply of makeup from Sephora and a $2,500 shopping spree at Shopbop. In other words: The winner will be the envy of all.

Beauty may not top the list of concerns for troubled teens, but it definitely can shine a light on their lives. Stila Cosmetics, Dermalogica and Clean Start joined forces with j.k. livin foundation, a nonprofit founded by Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves aimed at enriching teen lives, to bring Communities in Schools (CIS) proper beauty and skin care. CIS teamed the beauty providers with 20 at-risk teens who attend Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, and the day was one of pure enjoyment—but also education on how take care of skin for a more healthy life. “Self-image is always crucial, especially during adolescence,” comments Dermalogica and Clean Start Founder and owner Jane Wurwand, who is herself the mother of two teen girls. “We are excited to create this alliance between our brands and agencies to bring out the best in teens, starting with their skin.”

Even though we blog about beauty, this is too good to pass up: Welcome, NYC residents, to The StyleLiner. Like the Wafels & Dinges, Cupcake Stop and Rickshaw Dumpling Truck that precedes it, this crafty truck hits the streets of NYC to provide a bit of mobile creativity to the people. But rather than hock street sweats or meats, The StyleLiner serves up accessories. The brains behind it, Joey Wolffer, is a fashion stylist and jewelry designer, and she refurbished the 20-foot former potato chip truck to be a welcoming, modern space that hosts a well-edited selection of accessories that you can’t find in most stores.

And most of all: It’s mobile! You can find The StyleLiner parked across from The Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District (corner of 13th & Washington Streets) from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. And like other mobile businesses, they’ll be using Twitter to send out location changes and times.

Little Monsters: Your queen has just been signed for her second consecutive year as spokeswoman for MAC Viva Glam, MAC's philanthropic line of cosmetics that helps fund their chairity MAC AIDS Fund. Lady Gaga will continue to inspire and incite sales (she, along with 2010 Viva Glam spokesperson Cyndi Lauper, pulled in over $32 million—a record high for the fund), and the first visual for the campaign has been released. Shot by famed photographer Nick Knight and styled by Nicola Formichetti, the image shows a softer side of Gaga, her eyes kittenish and smoked-out to perfection, her lips a peachy blush, and those jewels!

It's really no wonder that MAC signed the multi-platinum pop star for second year; as we reported in our first issue of Beauty Etc., the woman works hard for the label, making appearances all over the world to drum up interest and dollars for the cause. And she's always been vocal about her AIDS advocacy; most recently during World AIDS Day 2010, she vowed to sign off from her Facebook and Twitter accounts until $1 million was raised for Keep a Child Alive, which helps support families in Africa and India affected by HIV/AIDS. The perfect voice for a great cause.

At the end of a work day, guess what makeup looks like: day-old makeup. But it can salvaged—and good thing, because the afterwork party season is in full swing. Emmy Award-winning makeup artst Kevin James Bennett shares his tips on how to re-fresh that not-so-fresh makeup.

Do-over. "First, remove all of lipstick and lip liner," says Bennett. Adding more layers of lip product over older can become gunky; it's best to start with a fresh application. But before you move in with theh lip color, "apply a light layer of lip conditioner to soften and smooth lips while you touch-up the rest of your face," he says.

Shine Patrol. Oily skin—the bane of all long-lasting makeup looks. Bennett suggests carrying blotting tissues and a makeup sponge. "Place the tissue over a makeup sponge, and press the sponge lightly over the shiny areas on your face. Do this before you do anything else," he advises.

Smooth Operation. Now that you've sopped up the oil, remove the blotting tissue and use the sponge to "smooth out foundation, concealer and blush (women with dry and normal skin should also follow this step). Use a gentle buffing motion, making sure to smooth all edges as you go," says Bennett.

Swab Sweep. "If makeup is looking too messy or dark under the eyes, use a Q-Tip with a little moisturizer to clean the area," he suggests. "Moisturizer works great for quick clean-ups and won’t break down the makeup you apply over it."

Thanks a Blot! Any shadow creasing or errant eyeliner can be blotted gently with a tissue. "Then use a brush or sponge to smooth out the remaining color," he says. "Apply a little translucent pressed powder over the area to catch any excess oil, and then reapply shadow and liner as needed to make eye makeup look fresh again."

Add a Little More. Evening looks require a little extra intensity; after all, you'll be viewed in darker light. Bennett says ramping up blush, bronzer a touch of highlighter shoudl do the trick.

Dust Must. "Lightly dust translucent powder over the face (kabuki brushes are best for this step) to set makeup and lend a soft, smooth finish," he says.

Lips, Revisted. Lips should now be hydrated and ready for a new lip color application. Kennetts recommends blotting excess lip conditioner and then reapplying lip liner and lipstick.
